LOS ANGELES – The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 116-113, taking a commanding 3-1 lead in their series. Anthony Edwards led the charge for Minnesota,scoring a game-high 43 points.

The Lakers initially held an advantage, but Julius Randle of Minnesota quickly put his team on the board wiht the first seven points. A strong showing from Luka Doncic and LeBron James helped the Lakers establish a 10-point lead at 32-22. Though, a missed layup by Doncic and an ensuing 8-0 run by Minnesota narrowed the gap to 32-28 by the end of the first quarter.
The Timberwolves continued to close in, trailing by just three points at halftime, with the score at 61-58.
