Antoine Massey, one of two inmates still at large following a new Orleans jailbreak last month, has issued a public plea for assistance. In a video posted online, Massey specifically targeted rappers Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, and NBA YoungBoy, all of whom have had brushes with the criminal justice system. He also appealed to former President Donald Trump.
Massey,who faces domestic violence charges,maintains his innocence. He claims in the since-deleted video that he did not orchestrate the escape, stating, “I didn’t break out, I was let out.”
“I’m asking please for help — YoungBoy, Meek Mills,” Massey said. “People that been through the system that know it’s corrupt. Lil wayne,Donald Trump. When I get back in custody, I’m asking y’all, please come help.”
Representatives for Wayne, Mill, and NBA YoungBoy have not commented.
Authorities, deeming the video credible, searched a home on June 1 where they believed it was recorded.Relatives recognized the residence, tipping off law enforcement. Although Massey was not present, officials reported finding clothing they suspect he wore in the video.
Massey was among 10 inmates who escaped the New Orleans jail by creating a hole behind a toilet and scaling a wall. at the time of the incident, the guard assigned to their pod was reportedly getting food.
