The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival canceled a scheduled performance by DJ Anyma on April 10, 2026, citing severe weather conditions that compromised the safety of the stage production.

Anyma, an Italian American artist and member of the electronic dance music duo Tale of Us, was scheduled to perform on the festival’s main stage at midnight on April 10. The set was planned to take place approximately 90 minutes after the headlining performance by Sabrina Carpenter.

Festival organizers notified attendees of the cancellation at 12:17 a.m. On April 11, 2026, via an official schedule update delivered through the Coachella app and posted online.

Due to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma’s stage build, he is unable to perform tonight. Coachella & Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority. Further updates to come.

Coachella Official Statement

The canceled appearance was intended to be the world premiere of Anyma’s new live show, titled ÆDEN. Those viewing the event via the official livestream saw a note stating Stage Wrapped appearing under the Main Stage section when the set was scrapped.

The cancellation occurred amid a period of unstable weather in the Coachella Valley. Meteorologists reported wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph on April 10 and April 11, which contributed to the hazards affecting the stage build.

The high winds also triggered an air-quality alert for the region due to wind-driven dust storms. The National Weather Service warned that these conditions could send large amounts of particulate matter, known as PM10, into the air, with levels expected to peak on the night of April 10.

According to the National Weather Service, particle pollution of this nature can penetrate deep into the lungs and potentially cause serious health issues, including lung infections, heart and lung disease symptoms and asthma attacks. Officials noted that children, pregnant women, older adults, and individuals with existing lung disease were at a higher risk.

In response to the air quality threat, health experts advised individuals to avoid using swamp coolers or fans that draw in outside air and recommended staying indoors with windows and doors closed, utilizing air purifiers or air conditioning.

The weather system brought further volatility to the festival’s first weekend. Temperatures were forecast to reach 90 degrees on April 10 before dropping to 81 degrees on April 11 and 78 degrees on April 12. A storm system moving across Southern California also brought the possibility of rain to the desert area later in the weekend.

The first weekend of the festival featured a lineup of headliners including Anyma, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.

It remains unclear if the canceled performance from the first weekend will be rescheduled. However, Anyma is still scheduled for a second performance at the festival on April 17, 2026, during the second weekend.

The weather-related disruption follows the April 9, 2026, release of Anyma’s latest single, Bad Angel, a collaboration with LISA.
