Alazraki’s Defense of Calderón Questioned After Yacht Video Emerges

Controversy surrounds Carlos ⁣alazraki’s defense of former President Felipe Calderón,with Alazraki asserting Calderón did not steal and lives a modest,middle-class life in Spain. This assertion is now being challenged following the circulation of a video purportedly showing Calderón on a luxury yacht.

Luxury Yacht Raises eyebrows

The video’s emergence quickly sparked debate. The⁢ yacht, reportedly⁤ a French⁤ luxury brand, is said to feature 3 or 4 cabins, ⁢each with a‍ private bathroom, ⁢and a master ‍suite‍ equipped with a queen-sized bed, closet, ⁣and direct bathroom access. The upper deck includes a flybridge with both a command station and a solarium.

Questions ⁣are being raised about whether a typical member of the Mexican middle class‍ could afford such a vacation. Critics are pointing to what thay describe as hypocrisy, given Calderón’s six-year term as president, during which Mexico⁣ was deeply⁢ embroiled⁣ in a war against drug trafficking.

Trolls⁤ and Misinformation

In what appears to be a counter-offensive, an alleged image of President López Obrador boarding a ⁤private plane‍ surfaced, with accusations that he had misappropriated millions from public programs. However, this photo was quickly debunked as ‍fake.

Opposition Criticism

Critics have also questioned Calderón’s current absence from ⁤the political scene. Initially, some suggested he sought to ⁢remain in power or pursue re-election. When that did not occur, and López Obrador‍ became president, criticisms⁣ shifted to claims that Calderón ⁤was secretly controlling decisions behind the scenes. These claims have also subsided.

Despite differing ⁤governing styles, ⁤both leaders are said to ⁢share similar goals, ⁣yet the opposition continues to demand Calderón’s reappearance, creating a situation where satisfying them seems unfeasible.

Accusations of Hypocrisy

Accusations of ‍hypocrisy and playing the victim are prevalent, especially given that the current opposition had the prospect⁤ to address the issues they‍ now ⁤criticize when they were in power.

Rather of⁣ proposing viable alternatives, critics are accused of focusing solely on negativity and hoping for Mexico’s failure, a strategy that some⁢ believe contributed to the decline ⁤of the PRI and PAN parties.

The controversy continues, with many awaiting further developments and clarifications regarding the yacht video and its implications.
