Apple has released a major update to Analytics in App Store Connect, marking the most significant enhancement to the tool since its initial launch. The update introduces more than 100 new metrics and a refreshed user experience designed to help developers better measure and understand app and game performance.
The updated Analytics platform now provides direct access to monetization and subscription data, enabling developers to gain deeper insights into the performance of their In-App Purchases and promotional offers. This expansion of data availability supports more informed decision-making around pricing, promotions, and user engagement strategies.
New cohort capabilities allow developers to analyze user behavior based on shared attributes such as download date, download source, or offer start date. For example, developers who have launched their app in a new region can compare how quickly users in that market make a purchase versus users in more established regions. All cohort data is aggregated to protect user privacy while still delivering actionable insights.
Apple has also introduced two new peer group benchmarks: download-to-paid conversion and proceeds per download. These benchmarks incorporate differential privacy techniques to safeguard individual developer data while offering meaningful comparisons against similar apps in the same category or region. This enables developers to assess their performance relative to peers without exposing sensitive information.
Two new subscription reports are now available and can be exported through the Analytics Reports API. This functionality supports offline analysis and allows developers to integrate App Store Connect Analytics data into their internal data systems for custom reporting and long-term trend analysis.
Additional usability improvements include the ability to apply up to seven filters simultaneously to selected metrics. This enhancement enables developers to drill down into specific user segments or behaviors, uncovering deeper insights that may not be visible with broader data views.
To support developers in leveraging these new tools, Apple has launched a new App Store Analytics Guide within App Store Connect Help. The guide provides guidance on building a data-driven strategy and explains how to use Analytics and other App Store Connect features to grow a business on the platform.
The update was announced on March 25, 2026, through Appleās developer news portal and is now live in App Store Connect. Developers can access the new features directly through the Analytics section of the platform.
