Apple CEO Transition: John Ternus Faces Supply Constraints and AI Challenges

Apple reported $109.4 billion in fiscal third-quarter revenue, driven by a 22 percent increase in iPhone sales and a 29 percent rise in Mac revenue, according to a report from Wowplus. Despite the strong sales, CEO Tim Cook warned that “very significant supply constraints” are expected in the next quarter due to global shortages of memory and silicon components.

The financial results arrive as Apple prepares for a leadership transition on September 1, when John Ternus will take over as chief executive. Tim Cook will move into the role of executive chairman, a position designed to provide continuity in government relations, supply chain management, and global operations while Ternus assumes authority over daily management.

Memory Shortages and Hardware Production
