Apple’s gains are especially pronounced in the premium and super-premium smartphone segments.The premium segment (likely $600+) in India grew by 43.3% year-over-year in Q3 2025, increasing its market share from 4% to 6% IDC. The super-premium segment ($800 and above) experienced even more substantial growth,at 52.9% year-over-year, with its share rising from 6% to 8% IDC.
The iPhone 16, iPhone 15, and iPhone 17 collectively accounted for over 70% of shipments in the premium segment.

The iPhone 16 was the most-shipped smartphone in India during the quarter, contributing 5% of total market shipments.
