Apple TV+ Gears Up for June with New Shows and Films

apple TV+ is set to deliver a range of new content this June, including three new shows and two films. The lineup promises drama, comedy, and high-octane thrills.
Among the new offerings is Stick,a sports comedy starring Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill,a former golf pro seeking redemption.Wilson’s character mentors a young golf phenom, played by Peter Dager, navigating a mix of humor and heart.
Season 2 of The Buccaneers also arrives, continuing the story of young American women navigating British aristocracy. Kristine Frøseth returns as Nan, now the Duchess of Tintagel. Leighton meester joins the cast, adding to the series’ drama.
Premiering June 27,Smoke is a crime drama featuring taron egerton as an arson investigator. He partners with a detective, played by Jurnee Smollett, to track serial fire-starters in the Pacific Northwest. The series is based on the Firebug podcast and created by Dennis Lehane.
On the film front, echo Valley stars Julianne moore as Kate Garrett, a woman living on a horse training farm in Pennsylvania. When her daughter Claire (Sydney Sweeney) arrives one night covered in blood, Kate must confront how far she will go to protect her.
The biggest release for Apple this month is the Formula 1 film, F1, starring Brad Pitt. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a retired driver mentoring a rookie. The production involved filming during actual grand Prix weekends, featuring appearances by F1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton.
“Dubbed ‘the greatest that never was,’ sonny Hayes (brad Pitt) was Formula 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career,” apple’s official summary explains.
