Apple announced five new applications during WWDC 2026 and via its subsidiary Claris, featuring a standalone Siri AI app and a developer-focused Wallet pass designer. According to MacRumors, these tools integrate generative AI and consolidate existing services across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, and watchOS 27.

The most significant update is the launch of Siri AI, a ground-up rebuild of the company’s voice assistant. For the first time, Siri arrives as a dedicated standalone app rather than a built-in system feature alone. MacRumors reports that the app functions similarly to other chatbots, allowing users to search the web, evaluate documents, solve math problems, and execute actions across various Apple apps.

Users can interact with Siri AI through a chat thread via typing or voice. The app syncs conversation history across all linked devices using iCloud. Specific capabilities include generating detailed Maps directions with multiple stops, editing and sharing photos, and drafting emails tailored to the user’s specific writing style.

Siri AI will launch this fall as part of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. While these operating systems are currently in developer beta, Apple is managing access to the Siri AI app through a waitlist. Apple stated it is working on a path forward for the European Union, where the app will not be available at launch.

How are the Apple TV Remote and Find My apps changing?

Apple is restoring the Apple TV Remote app as a proper Home Screen icon, reversing a decision from 2020 when the app was removed from the App Store. According to MacRumors, the remote comes pre-installed with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. Users can place the icon on their Home Screen by searching for Remote and dragging it into place, or by accessing it through the App Library.

On Apple Watch, watchOS 27 introduces a consolidated Find My app. This update merges three previously separate tools—Find Devices, Find People, and Find Items—into a single map-centric interface. The redesign adds flexible sharing options, giving users more control over who can track their location or items.

The new interface provides quick access to directions and nearby item searches. It also supports Precision Finding for specific hardware, including the iPhone, AirPods Pro 3, and AirTag 2.

What does Pass Designer do for developers?

Apple introduced Pass Designer, a Mac app designed for businesses and developers to build and preview Apple Wallet passes. The app allows users to utilize Apple-provided templates or create custom designs by importing logos, backgrounds, and strip images.

The tool features a real-time preview that uses the same rendering as iOS and watchOS to ensure visual consistency. Pass Designer also includes a validation system that alerts developers to missing required key values during the design process.

For event tickets and boarding passes, the app supports semantic tags. These tags add structured data—such as flight details, venue locations, and event dates—that enable system-level features like Calendar integration, Maps directions, and Siri Suggestions. The app can also generate backward-compatible structures from this semantic data for devices that do not support the latest tags.

Pass Designer is currently available in beta for registered Apple developers and requires macOS 27 or later.

Claris International, an Apple subsidiary, released Claris FileMaker Go 2026 on June 10, 2026. This low-code database platform enables users to automate data and build custom apps without extensive programming knowledge.

What is new in Claris FileMaker Go 2026?

The 2026 version adds support for iOS and iPadOS 26. A primary update is the integration of Google Gemini into the platform’s AI roster. Gemini joins existing supported models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Cohere.

According to Claris, the latest release focuses on AI-ready architecture, infrastructure resilience, and developer productivity. The company stated these updates were shaped by direct feedback from the Claris developer community.
