Apple Unveils 5 New Apps: Siri AI, Apple TV Remote, and More

Apple announced five new applications during WWDC 2026 and via its subsidiary Claris, featuring a standalone Siri AI app and a developer-focused Wallet pass designer. The most significant update is the launch of Siri AI, a ground-up rebuild of the company’s voice assistant. For the first time, Siri arrives as a dedicated standalone app rather than a built-in system feature alone. MacRumors reports that the app functions similarly to other chatbots, allowing users to search the web, evaluate documents, solve math problems, and execute actions across various Apple apps.

Users can interact with Siri AI through a chat thread via typing or voice. The app syncs conversation history across all linked devices using iCloud. Apple introduced Pass Designer, a Mac app designed for businesses and developers to build and preview Apple Wallet passes. The app allows users to utilize Apple-provided templates or create custom designs by importing logos, backgrounds, and strip images.

The tool features a real-time preview that uses the same rendering as iOS and watchOS to ensure visual consistency. Pass Designer also includes a validation system that alerts developers to missing required key values during the design process.

For event tickets and boarding passes, the app supports semantic tags. These tags add structured data—such as flight details, venue locations, and event dates—that enable system-level features like Calendar integration, Maps directions, and Siri Suggestions. The app can also generate backward-compatible structures from this semantic data for devices that do not support the latest tags.

Pass Designer is currently available in beta for registered Apple developers and requires macOS 27 or later.
