The integration of Apple Intelligence will bring natural language navigation and detailed descriptions to four primary features: VoiceOver, Magnifier, Voice Control, and Accessibility Reader. Beyond the updates to existing tools, Apple introduced a new functionality for the Apple Vision Pro that allows users to control compatible power wheelchairs using their eyes. This feature aims to increase mobility and independence for users with severe motor impairments.

Apple is also implementing on-device generated subtitles for video content that lacks captions. This system-wide feature will be available across the Apple ecosystem, ensuring that uncaptioned audio is accessible to users who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Regarding the strategic direction of these updates, Apple CEO Tim Cook emphasized the company’s commitment to user data protection.
