Apple’s Camera Control: Not as Revolutionary as You Think – Realme Beats Them to the Punch
Chase Xu@微博
Realme’s Vice President, Chase Xu, recently posted a short video on Weibo, showcasing a feature that has garnered significant attention in the tech community. The feature in question is the Camera Control, which allows users to utilize their iPhone’s camera functions more easily and intuitively. This design, known as solid-state buttons, has been a topic of interest, especially after its inclusion in the Apple iPhone 16 series.
In the video, Xu is seen using an unknown model of mobile phone with a long button that can be used to take photos when pressed and zoom by sliding. The video seems to imply that Realme has developed this technology, raising questions about whether they will incorporate it into their mobile phones in the future. The fact that Realme has this technology but hasn’t used it in their mobile phones yet may lead people to believe that they are imitating Apple.
It remains to be seen whether Realme will accelerate the introduction of solid-state buttons in their mobile phones after the launch of the iPhone 16 series. This development may also prompt other Chinese mobile phone brands to follow suit in the future.
