​ Querétaro, Qro. – As of March 25, ⁤2025, the Ministry of Health of the State of Querétaro (SESA) reports that 523,019 doses of the influenza vaccine have been⁢ administered. This represents 84.43% of the state’s goal of 619,499 doses. the ongoing vaccination campaign aims to mitigate complications from the flu, particularly among high-risk groups,‌ including older adults, children, and individuals wiht chronic health conditions.

According to data collected up to March 20, the region has seen ⁣751 confirmed cases of seasonal influenza. These cases include 444 women and 307 men, with​ ages ranging from ⁢one month to 96 years. The majority of infections, 539 in total, have been reported in the municipality of Querétaro. San Juan del Río follows ‍with 55 cases, and Corregidora with 41. Sadly,there have been 16 ‍confirmed deaths,with 11 occurring in the state capital.

⁣⁣ ⁤ Across the nation, data from March 14 indicates 9,005 positive cases and 268 deaths. Puebla reported the highest number of deaths⁣ with 28, followed by Sonora with 23, and nuevo León ⁤with 24. Querétaro has recorded 15 deaths, according to the ⁤epidemiological surveillance system of respiratory diseases (SISVER). Health​ officials⁢ continue to urge residents to⁢ get vaccinated to lessen the impact of the flu.
