NYC Housing Connect Opens Lottery for New Rental Units at Lighthouse Point

Staten Island, N.Y. – NYC Housing Connect is now accepting applications for a lottery offering 30 new rental units at the Residences at Lighthouse Point. This mixed-use development in St. George has been in development since 2016. Eligible income for the apartments ranges from $33,875 to $218,010.

The Residences at Lighthouse Point offers luxury rentals with stunning views of New York Harbor. The project includes 115 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. It is part of a revitalization initiative for the St. George area and features a public park, pier, and esplanade.

Residents will enjoy amenities such as a private waterfront esplanade, a modern fitness center, and a rooftop lounge. The buildings include 115 covered parking spots.

The development has faced delays since its start in 2016 but resumed construction in 2022. The project combines new construction with the restoration of historic buildings, preserving the site’s rich history while providing modern housing options.

Lottery Details:

• The apartments are for New Yorkers earning 40% to 130% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Current AMI for a single person in NYC is $108,700.
• Available units:
  • Six studios for households earning $33,875 to $55,920; rent starts at $903/month.
  • Seventeen one-bedrooms for $51,703 to $100,620; rent starts at $1,411/month.
  • Seven two-bedrooms for $62,058 to $218,010; rent starts at $1,682/month.
  • A few units are reserved for those with mobility, vision, and hearing needs. Preference is given to Staten Island CB1 residents and NYC employees.
