The United Arab Emirates Athletics Federation has announced that a 16-member national team will participate in the 21st Arab Junior Athletics Championships in Tunisia, scheduled to begin on April 21, 2026.
The team, comprising athletes aged under 20, will compete in various track and field events as part of the regional championship hosted in Tunis. This announcement was made by the UAE Athletics Federation through the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on April 21, 2026.
Preparations for the championship have been underway across participating nations, with several Arab countries confirming their delegations in recent days. The event follows the 11th Arab Youth Athletics Championship, which took place in Tunis in August 2025 and featured approximately 400 U-18 athletes from 17 nations including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Sudan, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, and Libya.
