ARC Raiders: Expedition 2 Launch – Rewards, Catch-Up & Lowered Stash Requirements

by Ahmed Hassan - World News Editor

Raiders preparing for the second expedition in ARC Raiders will find a significantly lowered stash requirement and a new catch-up system for those who didn’t maximize rewards during the first run, developers at Embark Studios announced this week.

Sign-ups for the second expedition open on , with departures scheduled for . This expedition offers players the opportunity to begin again with a new Raider, along with additional buffs and bonuses.

The biggest change addresses community feedback regarding the initial stash value needed to achieve maximum rewards. The requirement has been reduced from 5 million Coins to 3 million Coins – translating to 600,000 Coins per Skill Point. Reaching 3 million Coins will still reward players with 5 Skill Points.

Catch-Up System for Previous Raiders

Recognizing that not all players were able to amass the required 5 million Coins during the first expedition, Embark Studios is introducing a Skill Point catch-up system. This allows Raiders to reclaim missed Skill Points at a discounted rate. For this expedition, players will need to gather 300,000 Stash value for each Skill Point missed during the first expedition.

When departing, Coins will first contribute to Skill Points for the second expedition and then to any missing Skill Points from the first. The developers cautioned that rewards and requirements may change in future expeditions, and bonus Skill Points won’t be available indefinitely.

Rewards and Additions for Departing Raiders

Players embarking on their first expedition will receive the rewards from the initial run. Those continuing to depart will be awarded increased Stash space and Skill Points. Permanent bonuses earned in previous expeditions will be retained, even if players choose not to depart again.

Specifically, the Patchwork outfit will receive four additional toggles and two new color options for those participating in their second expedition. A new Scrappy outfit is also being introduced. Buffs will stack for consecutive departures, but will reset for players who opt out of future expeditions.

The developers emphasized that certain elements will remain unaffected by the expedition reset, including the Trophy Display Project, cosmetics, Raider Deck progress, unlocked map regions, leaderboard position, Trials, Codex entries, and Raider Tokens.

Permanent and Consecutive Bonuses

The benefits of continued participation are divided into permanent and consecutive categories:

  • Permanent: Cosmetics (evolved Patchwork outfit, Scrappy cosmetics, upgraded Expedition Indicator icon), increased Stash space (from 12 to 24 slots), and potential Skill Point gains (up to 5 new Skill Points plus catch-up from the first expedition, for a maximum of 10).
  • Consecutive: Increased XP boost (from 5% to 10%), increased Scrappy materials boost (from 6% to 12%), and increased repair value (from 60% to 70%).

Embark Studios encourages Raiders to prepare for the upcoming expedition and wishes them luck in their endeavors.
