Arcane’s showrunner has announced that three new League of Legends TV shows are in production. Each show will take place in a different region of the League of Legends universe.
Locations for New Shows
The new series will be set in:
- Noxus
- Ionia
- Demacia
These areas will expand the narrative begun in Arcane, which recently concluded its second season. Although the future of Arcane remains unclear, the new shows will delve deeper into the League of Legends world.
Details from the Showrunner
Christian Linke, co-creator of Arcane, stated that the new shows have been developing for about a year. He emphasized that Riot Games plans to tell new stories while continuing existing ones.
Overview of Each Region
- Noxus: Known for its strength and conflict, Noxus is home to characters like Mel and Ambessa Medarda.
- Ionia: This peaceful region features various provinces located on a vast archipelago. Champions such as Irelia and Zed are from Ionia.
- Demacia: A lawful kingdom characterized by its strong values and noble citizens. Champions like Garen and Lux hail from Demacia.
Future of the LoL Cinematic Universe
The end of Arcane season 2 left some characters’ stories resolved, while others, like Mel Medarda’s, are poised for continuation. Mel’s journey and her new challenges in Noxus indicate that this location will be essential in future shows.
These upcoming series will introduce new champions and narratives, offering a chance for deeper world-building. Shifting focus to Ionia and Demacia allows exploration of characters not featured in Arcane.
The new TV shows promise to bring fresh stories and connections to the existing League of Legends universe, attracting both fans of the game and new viewers alike.
