Arch Enemy: New Single ‘To The Last Breath’ & Lauren Hart Era – 2026 Tour Dates

Swedish/American extreme metal band Arch Enemy has entered a new era, introducing Lauren Hart as their vocalist with the release of the ferocious single “To The Last Breath” on .

The arrival of Hart, formerly of Once Human, marks a significant turning point for the band following the departure of Alissa White-Gluz last fall. The announcement follows a period of intense speculation within the metal community, fueled by teasers from the band that briefly led some to believe former vocalist Angela Gossow might return. Gossow, who managed the band for over a decade, quickly dispelled those rumors, confirming her continued role as Arch Enemy’s business manager.

“Connecting with Lauren has marked an important step in my journey,” said Michael Amott, guitarist and founder of Arch Enemy. “Working with her was an exceptional experience — her remarkable voice, coupled with her dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence. I look forward to continuing the collaboration.”

“To The Last Breath” is the first musical offering since the conclusion of the band’s “Blood Dynasty” album cycle. Amott describes the single as “a reckoning,” both musically and lyrically. “Musically, it’s unapologetically aligned with my original vision for the band — and I believe longtime fans will recognize that immediately,” he explained. “Lyrically, it’s about seeing through deception and dismantling the illusion of control. It captures that moment when you realize you’ve been fed poison — and you choose to fight back. Once that clarity hits, there’s no retreat. It’s do or die.”

The song’s release is accompanied by a music video, showcasing Hart’s powerful vocal delivery, which critics have noted aligns with the styles of both White-Gluz and Gossow. Amott confidently asserts, “Just when you think it’s over, a new beginning rises.”

To celebrate this new chapter, Arch Enemy has announced a run of intimate European club shows, dubbed “Back To The Root Of All Evil,” kicking off on in Berlin, Germany. The tour will take the band to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, concluding on in Manchester, England.

The band’s lineup now consists of Lauren Hart on vocals, Michael Amott on guitars, Joey Concepcion on guitars, Sharlee D’Angelo on bass, and Daniel Erlandsson on drums.

Gossow’s departure from Arch Enemy as a vocalist in 2014 after 13 years at the helm came as a surprise to many. She passed the torch to White-Gluz, whom she had known as a friend and fellow vocalist for years. While she stepped down from performing duties, Gossow remained deeply involved with the band’s business affairs.

Prior to Gossow’s arrival in 2001, Arch Enemy recorded three albums with Johan Liiva: “Black Earth” (1996), “Stigmata” (1998), and “Burning Bridges” (1999). With Gossow at the microphone, the band released a string of critically acclaimed albums, including “Wages Of Sin” (2001), “Khaos Legions” (2011), and several others.

White-Gluz fronted Arch Enemy for four studio albums: “War Eternal” (2014), “Will To Power” (2017), “Deceivers” (2022), and “Blood Dynasty” (2025). The band’s evolution with Hart promises a continuation of their legacy while forging a new path forward.
