Kelly’s assessment comes as both quarterbacks are considered Heisman Trophy frontrunners adn lead programs with national title aspirations. Nussmeier, a seasoned player for the LSU Tigers, has been with the programme since 2021.
Nussmeier led two second-half comebacks last season, including a game-winning drive against Ole Miss. manning, in limited action, threw for 939 yards and nine touchdowns.
