Overview

The Rauschenberg Foundation is accepting applications​ for its 2026 Archives Research Residency, ⁢offering scholars, artists, and researchers‍ the possibility ⁣to delve into the extensive archives of Robert Rauschenberg. The residency provides access to a‍ comprehensive collection of materials documenting the artist’s life and work,housed in studios ​in Florida and New⁢ York. Residency ⁤Details

The residency ⁣is open to⁤ applicants at the ⁢graduate level and above who⁢ demonstrate a clear need to utilize the Foundation’s archival materials firsthand. Applicants must not have⁤ received prior grant funding from the Foundation within⁣ the last​ three years. All individuals eligible to travel ⁤within the United States are encouraged to apply.

Priority ⁢will be⁣ given to self-reliant researchers and those affiliated ‍with institutions possessing limited resources. former and current staff ‍and consultants of the Rauschenberg Foundation are ineligible. Those who do not⁢ qualify or are not selected are welcome to pursue research appointments independently.

The 2026 residency⁣ will be offered during three distinct⁣ sessions:

• Fall: September 28 – October 23, 2026
