Argentina to Venezuela: A Stark Reminder – Separation of Powers is Not a Suggestion
Argentina Rejects Arrest Warrants Issued by Venezuelan Prosecutor
The Republic of Argentina has rejected the arrest warrants ordered by Tarek William Saab, the prosecutor service of Nicolás Maduro, against President Javier Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency Karina Milei, and Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich.
The arrest warrants were issued following an incident involving a plane from the Emtrasur company. However, the Argentine government has stated that the case was resolved by the Judiciary, an independent power that the Executive cannot interfere with, in accordance with an international agreement.
The Argentine government has reminded the Venezuelan regime that the division of powers and the independence of judges prevail in Argentina, which is not the case in Venezuela under the regime of Nicolás Maduro.
