Secretary of Welfare’s Home​ Targeted in Mexico City‍ Robbery

Mexico City, Mexico ⁢ – The home of Ariadna Montiel, Mexico’s secretary of Welfare, was burglarized in the Benito Juárez borough, according ⁢to journalist Carlos Jiménez.

jiménez reported that thieves forced entry into the residence‌ while Montiel was away. “They stole jewelry, eyeglasses, ‌adn the CPU from her security cameras,” Jiménez stated on X (formerly Twitter).

Images shared by Jiménez show scattered clothing and open drawers, indicating ⁤a thorough search of the home.The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office⁢ has launched an inquiry into the robbery.

Who is Ariadna Montiel?

Ariadna Montiel ‍has⁢ served as Secretary of welfare since the beginning of President Andrés manuel López Obrador’s administration. An‍ architect by training from the National Autonomous University ⁢of Mexico (UNAM), montiel has a long history in public service. Her career includes roles as a substitute senator, local and federal deputy.

Home of Mexico’s Welfare Secretary Targeted in Heist

Mexico City, Mexico – In a brazen midday robbery, thieves broke into the Benito Juárez​ borough home of Ariadna Montiel, ‌Mexico’s Secretary of ‍Welfare, while she was away, according to journalist ⁤Carlos Jiménez.

Jiménez reported ⁤that ‌the burglars ransacked the residence, absconding with jewellery, eyeglasses, and the CPU of Montiel’s security system. ⁣Images circulating‌ online depict ⁢the aftermath of the crime,⁣ showing‍ scattered personal belongings and opened drawers,‍ suggesting a thorough search‍ of the premises.

The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office has confirmed the incident ⁢and launched a full investigation into the robbery.

Ariadna Montiel, ​an architect by training from​ the National Autonomous university of mexico (UNAM), has been a stalwart figure in Mexican politics. ​She has held prominent positions‌ throughout ‌her career, ‌including serving as a substitute senator, as well as both local and federal deputy. Her appointment as Secretary of Welfare marked the beginning of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s management.
