Mexico City, Mexico – The home of Ariadna Montiel, Mexico’s secretary of Welfare, was burglarized in the Benito Juárez borough, according to journalist Carlos Jiménez.
jiménez reported that thieves forced entry into the residence while Montiel was away. “They stole jewelry, eyeglasses, adn the CPU from her security cameras,” Jiménez stated on X (formerly Twitter).

Ariadna Montiel has served as Secretary of welfare since the beginning of President Andrés manuel López Obrador’s administration. An architect by training from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), montiel has a long history in public service. Her career includes roles as a substitute senator, local and federal deputy.
