Ariana Grande has wrapped filming on the upcoming fourth installment in Universal Pictures’ Meet the Parents franchise, titled Focker-In-Law, which is set for release on November 25, 2026. The pop star and actress shared the news on her Instagram, posting behind-the-scenes images and expressing her gratitude for the experience working with the cast.
Grande plays Olivia Jones, the fiancée of Henry Focker, portrayed by Skyler Gisondo. According to reports from the set, her character reveals during the film that she previously worked as an FBI hostage negotiator, a detail showcased in the movie’s trailer where she jokes about using those skills to “free Henry from you guys” during a chaotic family dinner scene.
The film marks a reunion between Grande and Ben Stiller, who reprises his role as Greg Focker. Stiller previously praised Grande’s professionalism and comedic timing, noting how well she blended into the franchise’s dynamic. Robert De Niro also returns as Jack Byrnes, continuing the long-running gag of subjecting potential family members to his infamous lie detector test—a moment featured prominently in the trailer where he tests Grande’s character.
Directed and written by John Hamburg, Focker-In-Law also features returning cast members Teri Polo as Pam Byrnes, Owen Wilson as Kevin, and Blythe Danner as Dina Byrnes. New additions to the ensemble include Beanie Feldstein, Skyler Gisondo, and Eduardo Franco. The film continues the franchise’s tradition of blending awkward family dynamics with broad comedic set pieces, building on the success of the first three films, which collectively grossed over $1.13 billion worldwide.
Universal Pictures has positioned the film for a late-November release, targeting the holiday weekend audience. A trailer released ahead of the premiere highlights the film’s central comedy of errors, including the lie detector scene, family dinner tensions, and Olivia’s candid reflections on integrating into the Focker family. Grande described the shoot as “unimaginably special” and said she would miss the cast terribly, adding, “see you next november!” in her Instagram post.
