Arianna Casoli Makes History in NASCAR Brasil Series
Arianna Casoli competed in the NASCAR Brasil Series finale, becoming the first woman to race in this championship.
- Casoli drove the #14 Chevrolet at the Circuito dos Cristais in Curvelo, Brazil.
- She achieved 12th place in the main race and finished 8th in the heat race.
- With 100 NASCAR Euro Series races under her belt, she used her experience to keep pace with her 21 Brazilian competitors.
Casoli expressed pride in her accomplishment. “Being the first woman to compete in the NASCAR Brazil Series was an honor,” she said. Brazilian motorsports support female drivers, and Casoli hopes her participation will inspire future generations.
The 50-year-old faced challenges, including adapting to a new track and car. She noted that learning a new driving style was essential. “Lap by lap I gained confidence,” she said. Despite being a rookie, she completed the race with strong lap times.
Casoli took a careful approach, aiming to finish each race safely. She used her experience from previous oval races in Europe to navigate the competition. Ultimately, finishing 12th out of 22 in the main race and 8th out of 10 in the heat race is a significant achievement for her.
Casoli wants to inspire women in motorsports. “I hope this is a milestone for women. They should believe in their dreams,” she shared.
She thanked her team, NASCAR Brazil Series, and fans for their support. Casoli plans to return to the NASCAR Euro Series for the 2025 season, continuing her racing career.
