To earn a quota, athletes needed to achieve results under 120 FIS points in slalom. Khan accumulated enough points through nine qualifying results achieved in 2024 and 2025. Seven of these results came at Ski Dubai, Mall of the emirates, with additional scores earned at Arieseni, Romania.

Khan previously represented India at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, becoming the first Indian to directly qualify for quota spots in two different Winter Olympics events – slalom and giant slalom.

At the 2022 beijing olympics, Khan achieved a 45th-place finish in giant slalom, the best result ever by an Indian athlete in that event.
