The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns on April 10, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena, securing home-court advantage for the playoffs. The Suns entered the matchup facing significant roster challenges, missing several key players due to injuries and strategic resting.

Phoenix Suns Injury Report

The Suns were without All-Star Devin Booker, who was ruled out for the April 10 game. Booker had previously indicated he would likely miss one of the team’s final two regular-season games following a 37-point performance in a 112-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks on April 8.

In addition to Booker, the Suns’ roster was depleted by several other absences. Jordan Goodwin was ruled out due to a left ankle sprain, and Haywood Highsmith remained sidelined for right knee injury management.

Jalen Green was listed as questionable for the game due to right knee soreness. Green and Goodwin had both suffered setbacks during the first half of a victory on April 7 and were unable to return for the second half of that contest. This season marks Green’s first in Phoenix, where he has already missed 48 games due to a right hamstring injury.

Despite these absences, Mark Williams and Grayson Allen were available for the April 10 game. Williams, managing a left foot injury, and Allen, recovering from a right quad contusion, both returned to the lineup after missing the previous game.

Lakers Roster Status

The Los Angeles Lakers, holding a 50-29 record, also dealt with notable absences. Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves have been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season due to a left hamstring strain and a left oblique muscle strain, respectively.

For the game preceding the Suns matchup on April 9 against the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers were without guard Marcus Smart, who suffered a right ankle contusion, and Jaxson Hayes, who dealt with left foot soreness.

Regular Season Standings and Play-in Outlook

The Phoenix Suns, currently at 44-36, have clinched the seventh seed in the Western Conference. Their regular season concludes on April 12 with a game against the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder, who hold a 64-16 record.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Suns are scheduled to host a play-in tournament game on April 14. They will face either the Los Angeles Clippers, who have a 41-39 record, or the Portland Trail Blazers, who are 40-40.

The Lakers’ victory over Phoenix was the second game of a back-to-back set, following their April 9 appearance against the Golden State Warriors, who currently hold a 37-42 record.
