Arizona Women’s Basketball Defeats UNLV 75-66, Improves to 4-0
Arizona Women’s Basketball improved to 4-0 this season by defeating UNLV 75-66 at McKale Center. Lauryn Swann was the star, scoring all 19 of her points in the second half. Jada Williams contributed 15 points, while Breya Cunningham added 12 points and nine rebounds, just missing a double-double.
The game featured six lead changes and four ties. The Wildcats entered the fourth quarter trailing 46-50 but rallied to score 29 points in the final quarter. A three-pointer from Williams, followed by two layups from Swann in the last 30 seconds, secured the win.
This victory handed UNLV their first loss of the season. The Lady Rebels had previously won against Loyola Marymount and Northern Arizona.
Next, Arizona will play Chicago State in Chicago on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 12:00 p.m. MST.
