The daunting slate opens up a new era in Fayetteville as Silverfield takes over the program. According to WholeHogSports, the Razorbacks will play three teams in the top 10 alone: No. 3 Georgia, No. 5 Texas, and No. 8 Texas A&M.
Additional ranked matchups include contests against No. 11 LSU, No. 20 Tennessee, No. 21 Utah, and No. 25 Missouri, based on the preseason poll released on August 17, 2026. Road games will take the team to Texas, Texas A&M, and Utah, while matchups against Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, and Missouri will be hosted at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.
Early Season Tests Against SEC Powerhouses

Later in the fall, the Razorbacks face No. 8 Texas A&M on Oct. 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, according to Yahoo Sports. The Aggies enter the season with their highest-ever preseason ranking from the AP after finishing 2025 with an 11-2 record and making their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance. The Aggies have won nine of the last ten matchups in the rivalry.

Rounding out the month of October, the Missouri Tigers arrive in Fayetteville on Halloween, according to Yahoo Sports. Missouri secured a spot in the preseason AP Top 25 for only the second time since 2020, serving as the Razorbacks’ fourth straight SEC opponent during a demanding stretch of the schedule.

According to WholeHogSports, the SEC leads all conferences with nine teams in the preseason rankings, including No. 9 Ole Miss, No. 10 Oklahoma, and No. 13 Alabama alongside the six conference opponents on Arkansas’s schedule. The Big Ten places eight teams in the poll, led by No. 1 Ohio State and reigning national champion Indiana at No. 6.
Beyond the seven ranked opponents, Yahoo Sports notes that Arkansas will also face three teams that received votes in the preseason poll: South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Auburn. The only two opponents on the twelve-game schedule not considered for the rankings are FCS program North Alabama and Tulsa.
