The Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics program has continued its trajectory of success, contributing 60.8 Directors’ Cup points following a standout season. The Gymbacks have advanced to the NCAA University Park and are currently discussing their advancement to the National Championship.

These contributions from the gymnastics team align with a broader period of athletic excellence at the University of Arkansas. The Directors’ Cup, which has tracked the success of the nation’s top intercollegiate athletics programs since 1993-94, serves as a primary metric for evaluating overall program performance across various sports.

Institutional Success in the Directors’ Cup

The performance of the gymnastics team supports a record of consistency for the university. As of the final standings released on June 26, 2025, by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of America (NACDA), Arkansas earned a top-20 national finish in the Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings for a program-record fifth consecutive year.

In those final June 2025 standings, the Razorbacks ranked No. 11 overall and No. 5 within the Southeastern Conference. The university tallied a total of 966.7 points, making it one of 11 league programs to place within the top 25 of the final standings.

The university’s climb into the top 20 has been sustained over several academic cycles. The recorded finishes for the program include:

  • No. 11 overall (2024-25)
  • No. 18 overall (2023-24)
  • No. 13 overall (2022-23)
  • No. 7 overall (2021-22)
  • No. 8 overall (2020-21)

Conference Dominance and Championship Records

The consistency seen in the Directors’ Cup standings is mirrored by the program’s success in championship competitions. Over the past seven years, Arkansas has secured eight NCAA titles and 39 Southeastern Conference team championships.

Conference Dominance and Championship Records

The pace of these achievements has accelerated in recent years, with 31 of those conference titles earned within the last five years alone. These totals for conference championships lead all programs within the SEC. The 39 titles earned in the seven-year window exceed the combined total of seven other league programs during the same timeframe.

This level of performance has led to significant institutional recognition, including the Razorbacks earning the John McDonnell Program of the Year accolade.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and the loyal support of our Razorback Foundation members, the University of Arkansas once again ranks among the nation’s top performing collegiate athletics programs

Multi-Sport Contributions to National Standing

While the gymnastics team has provided 60.8 points this season, the university’s overall standing is built on contributions across multiple sports. For example, the Arkansas softball program contributed 64 Directors’ Cup points during its NCAA Tournament run in the 2024-25 season.

The softball team finished that campaign with a 44-14 overall record and made its fourth Super Regional appearance in program history. During that same period, the team also recorded a 22-14 record and earned its fourth Sweet 16 appearance in five years.

The combination of these results across different disciplines has solidified the University of Arkansas as a perennial top-20 athletic program on a national scale.
