‘Made in NY’ Awards to Honor aronofsky, Buteau, Morgan
Darren Aronofsky, Michelle Buteau, Tracy Morgan, and Thomas J.O’Donnell, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, will receive ”made in NY” awards, recognizing their contributions to New York City’s film and television industry. the Made in NY Awards,created in 2006 by the Mayor’s Office of Media and entertainment (MOME),celebrate artists who showcase New york City on screen and encourage global audiences to visit,work,and live in the city. The awards highlight the importance of film and TV industry jobs in NYC.
Mayor Eric Adams and MOME Commissioner Pat Swinney kaufman will host the ceremony June 16 at Gracie Mansion, following the Tribeca Festival. Aronofsky will receive his award June 10 during a special Tribeca Festival presentation marking the 25th anniversary screening of “Requiem for a Dream.” Earlier this year, producer Celia Costas received a Made in NY award at the 45th Annual New York Women in Film & Television Muse awards.
