Officials from the Municipal Delegation of Ciudad Guayana have successfully apprehended two individuals involved in the micro-trafficking of psychotropic substances in San Félix, Caroní municipality, Venezuela. The operation, conducted as of August 30, 2024, targeted the commercialization and distribution of hallucinogenic substances within the area.
Criminal Records Revealed
According to Douglas Rico, director of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc), one of the arrested women has a prior criminal record. This includes previous arrests for drug trafficking and common theft. Additionally, the Third Control Court of Puerto Ordaz had issued a warrant for her arrest in connection with a separate theft case involving co-authorship.
Evidence Seized
During the arrest, authorities recovered a significant quantity of illicit substances – 322 envelopes containing hallucinogenic materials – along with a precision balance and a motorcycle. The seized evidence and the arrested individuals have been placed under the jurisdiction of the Public Ministry for further legal proceedings.
