Investigation Continues in Death of ‘Project Runway’ Contestant

salt Lake City authorities are continuing their investigation into the death of Ah Loo, a former contestant on ”project Runway.” Loo, known to loved ones as “Afa,” was also the founder of Creative Pacific, a nonprofit institution dedicated to celebrating Pacific Island culture through various events.
According to police, Gamboa, who was clad in black clothing and a black mask during the incident, was also wounded. He was treated at a local hospital before being transported to the Salt Lake County Metro Jail. Gamboa faces a murder charge and remains in custody.
The Salt Lake County Sherriff’s department has not yet responded to requests for comment.
Salt Lake City Police department (SLCPD) is taking steps to reassure the community.
“Our detectives are now working to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident,” Redd said in the SLCPD’s press release. “We will not allow this individual act to create fear in our community.”
