Artist Sorimachi Akira’s sense of style explodes! Rainy day outfits with British Fox umbrellas | Pen Online
FOX UMBRELLAS(hereinafter referred to as Fox) is known for its luxury umbrellas, which represent the classic British wardrobe.
It is a bat umbrella with deep, uneven, flexible fabric that is tightly taut, just like a bat’s wing.
Another major feature is that when folded it becomes as thin as a walking stick, giving it an elegant appearance.
This is sure to be a desirable item for those who want to live with only the bare minimum of fine things and who love classic styles.
Fox decided to create content for their official Japanese website that would focus on their loyal customers, and I was in charge of photographing people and products, as well as writing the content.
The guest was illustratorSorimachi AkiraMr. Miss.
She has a great sense of style and knows how to wear classic clothing.
Moreover, he has a very gentle personality.
The page layout is also refreshing and clean.
Here’s a sneak peek at the essence.

A casual outfit of a custom-made suit (cotton fabric) that makes the most of his tall height. Sorimachi wears this outfit even on rainy days. The location for the shoot was a refreshing, minimalist space, to make the classic clothes look light and airy. The strobe lighting was simple and strong.

Hmm, what about this watch? ←For more details, please see the following link.

As soon as we took the color photo, we thought, “This might be good in black and white,” so we converted it to black and white on the iPad, and the final portrait (final version) got the go-ahead from Sorimachi and the rest of the staff. The smile is the best! We created the set with the image of a 1960s TV anchor.

An illustration Sorimachi created for Fox about two years ago.
Greenwich’s special website is full of content including Sorimachi’s story, photographs, illustrations, and more.
The layout is very easy to read, allowing you to read only the parts you want to read (thanks to Seto-san of Greenwich!), so I hope everyone will take the time to read it.
