‘Bachelor’ Alums Iaconetti, Haibon Take on Executive producer Role
Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, known from ABC’s “Bachelor in paradise,” are expanding their role in the entertainment industry. The couple is now executive producing the independently financed TV pilot, “Too Romantic,” a project helmed by Madhouse Films.
The pilot, created by writer-director Talia Light Rake and her Heavy Shovel Productions, delves into the complexities of online relationships. Rivkah Reyes, sam Vartholomeos, and Ashley Ganger will star in “Too Romantic,” which examines the impact of social media on identity and romance.
The show’s premise centers on a young woman grappling with her identity as her romantic life becomes intertwined with her online persona. Producers say the show draws inspiration from Erving Goffman’s performance theory and references “The Wizard of Oz,” exploring the emotional toll of constant self-surveillance in the age of influencers.
Madhouse Films, launched in May by Katherine Romans and Charlie Traisman, is overseeing the production. The pilot is currently in production in New York.
“We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to executive produce Too Romantic with Madhouse Films,” saeid Haibon.
Haibon added that he has always been interested in producing and that Iaconetti was impressed by Light Rake’s talent. “After reading the script, we were drawn to the story, the characters, and the clarity of Talia’s vision,” Haibon said. “We felt we could offer meaningful insight through our experience with influencer culture and having a relationship in the public eye.”

Further casting details for “Too Romantic” are expected to be released in the fall.
