Seoul, South korea – A battle is set for the KBM Super Bantamweight title as Lee Han-Sol prepares to face Lee Sang-myung.
Lee Han-Sol, a 32-year-old boxer with 7 professional wins in his first 16 months, a WBF Intercontinental Champion, and a KBM bantamweight Champion, aims to overcome recent setbacks. After experiencing frustration with the WBC Asia title, a defeat in the WBC Far East Championship, and a failed KBM title defense, Lee seeks to regain momentum.
The fight, hosted by Hannam Promotion and sanctioned by the Korea Boxing Commission (KBM), will take place at itaewon Elementary School in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The match is scheduled for 10 rounds at the Super bantamweight limit of 55.3kg.
Lee Han-Sol is looking to break a streak of four consecutive defeats over 295 days. These losses followed his WBC Superflyweight Asia title win in December 2023, a defeat in the WBC Superflyweight Far East Championship, and a failed first defense of his KBM Bantamweight title.
prior to this, Lee had a successful run, including becoming the WBF Intercontinental champion in July 2020, just 484 days after his professional debut.
However, challenges arose with a failed Bantamweight title challenge in June 2022 and a narrow victory in the KBM Bantamweight championship decision in March 2023. One expert noted Lee Han-sol’s tendency to allow the first round down.
Lee has twice lost the first round in KBM Bantamweight title matches. While he once secured a ninth-round TKO victory after being knocked down in the fourth round, he also experienced a loss by unanimous decision after failing to recover from an early knockdown.
Lee Sang-myung, 24, is in his sixth professional fight, 443 days after his debut. After winning two consecutive fights, he experienced a first-round TKO loss in January 2025.
