ASIIN Extends Accreditation for ULM Programs
Lambung Mangkurat University’s Agriculture and forestry Programs Achieve Extended International Accreditation
Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan – The Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has secured an extended international accreditation for four of its key study programs.the prestigious recognition, granted by the German agency Accreditation Agency for Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN), will remain valid until September 30, 2029.
ULM Programs Meet Rigorous Global Standards
The four programs that have successfully met ASIIN’s stringent international accreditation requirements are:
Agricultural Industrial Technology
Forestry
Soil Science
Agribusiness
Professor Agung Nugroho,head of ULM’s Institute for Quality assurance and Learning Advancement (LPMPP),confirmed the extension,stating,”These four programs have met all the international accreditation requirements set by ASIIN.” He elaborated that the decision was made during a recent meeting of the ASIIN accreditation commission, following a thorough evaluation process based on compliance reports submitted by each program with support from LPMPP ULM.

Professor Nugroho expressed his gratitude for the collective effort involved in achieving this milestone. “This decision proves that ULM’s study programs are capable of meeting international standards. It serves as a solid foundation for accelerating the internationalization of ULM’s academic quality,” he remarked. He specifically acknowledged the collaboration and hard work of the study program teams, faculty members, and the LPMPP.
The LPMPP ULM remains dedicated to assisting other study programs within the university in obtaining international accreditation. This commitment aligns with ULM’s overarching vision to become a globally competitive institution,with a particular focus on wetland-based research.
“This international recognition is a strategic and prestigious achievement in our efforts to enhance the quality of higher education at ULM, which has already earned an ‘Excellent’ national accreditation status,” Nugroho added, highlighting the university’s dual commitment to both national excellence and international standing.
ASIIN, the accrediting agency, specializes in evaluating academic programs across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including engineering, computer science, natural sciences, mathematics, agriculture, and biology, ensuring that accredited programs adhere to high academic and professional standards.
