Starscapes operates observatories across India, witnessing a surge in families, children, and young adults eager to experience the wonders of the night sky. Ray attributes this shift to increased disposable income and a ​growing desire for unique‌ travel experiences.”Millennials, who travel in search of something different, are also driving this demand,”‍ he adds.

Meanwhile, another travel trend is gaining momentum: intercity travel. Uber india⁤ has announced record-breaking intercity ride bookings in 2024, surpassing previous year’s figures.The company attributes this surge to improved road infrastructure and a growing appetite for leisure, pilgrimage, and family visits.

“Road travel is becoming increasingly popular as the network of highways and expressways ⁤expands in India,” says an Uber‍ spokesperson. “Long-distance trips⁢ are becoming more efficient and accessible, with considerable reductions in travel time.”

Weekend getaways, including long weekends, have become a major ⁣draw for travelers, with Uber observing a spike in demand during key ‌holidays like Holi, Eid, and Independence Day.

Adding to India’s travel ​boom,⁣ Delhi airport has reached a significant milestone, connecting to 150 domestic ‍and international destinations with the⁣ launch of direct flights between Delhi and Bangkok-Don Mueang by Thai AirAsia ‌X.

This makes Delhi the first airport​ in the country to achieve ⁤this notable feat,​ according to airport​ operator Delhi Airport International Limited (DIAL).
