Health Minister Reveals Latest Development on Gastrointestinal Diseases in Aswan Governorate

Health Situation in Aswan Governorate Under Control
The Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has provided an update on the <a href="https://www.newsdirectory3.com/gastroenteritis-outbreak-hits-aswan-egypts-health-minister-takes-action/” title=”Gastroenteritis Outbreak Hits Aswan: Egypt's Health Minister Takes Action”>health situation in Aswan Governorate following a recent surge in gastrointestinal diseases.
According to Abdel Ghaffar, between September 11 and the present day, 128 cases of gastrointestinal diseases and diarrhea have been reported in Aswan Governorate. Fortunately, 22 cases have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
The Ministry of Health has collaborated with the Ministry of Housing and Aswan Governorate to analyze drinking water at 103 stations in the governorate, ensuring the water is safe for consumption.
Abdel Ghaffar also confirmed that frequent visits have been made to hospitals in the governorate to ensure their readiness to receive patients.
The health situation in Aswan Governorate is currently under control, and the crisis is expected to be resolved within a few days. All reported cases are from Abu Harish and Darao villages, and the safety of their drinking water network is being verified.
