From Luxury to “Vityillo”: Dulin Metta’s Asia Express Reality Check
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Forget the palm-tree lined dreams. For dulin Metta and Levente Lakatos, their Asia Express adventure began with a jarring dose of reality, proving that even reality TV can throw a curveball. The sixth season of the show, currently airing, promises serious trials for its contestants, and Metta quickly discovered that luxury wasn’t always on the itinerary.
After arriving in Malaysia, the racers were met with a twist courtesy of host Nóra Ördög. Rather of the expected eight double rooms in a luxurious hotel, only six were available.This meant that the last two pairs to finish were relegated to a “Vityillo,” a motel offering decidedly less glamorous accommodations.
“The truth is, after so many obstacles, I didn’t even think that Nori wouldn’t say our name for the second time,” Metta, known for her role in Stone-rich youth, revealed. She and Levente quickly realized they were headed for the “doghouse” – their nickname for the less-than-ideal lodging.
But the inconvenience didn’t stop there. Metta described the “Vityillo” as being located in the heart of a bustling party district, making sleep nearly unfeasible. “The accommodation was in the middle of a party area, so I spent the night with zero sleep. Of course, our phones were taken away, so I didn’t know how many hours it was,” she recounted with a laugh after the show.After an hour-long journey, she was dropped off at the port.
Adding to the chaotic night, uninvited guests arrived at the “Vityillo” seeking a different kind of hospitality. “Young people came from the party and asked me if I had a little booze because they were still a great party. They were a bit disappointed at the hearing of my negative answer, but they resigned and left on the corner,” Metta recalled.
despite the initial shock and sleep deprivation, Metta remained resilient. She admitted that the next morning, her future looked “a little gloomy,” but she quickly regrouped, vowing to earn her way into better accommodations. This early experience serves as a stark reminder that Asia Express is about more than just exotic locales; it’s a test of endurance, adaptability, and the ability to thrive even when luxury is a distant memory.
