World Energy Council Welcomes Australia as Newest Member Committee
The World Energy Council has announced Australia has joined as its newest Member Committee. This addition is significant for global energy dialogue and collaboration. The Australian Institute of Energy (AIE) will host the new committee and aims to enhance energy knowledge across Australia.
Australia’s inclusion will strengthen the Council’s agenda for fairer and widespread energy transitions. This move showcases Australia’s dedication to sustainable energy solutions.
Dr. Angela Wilkinson, Secretary General and CEO of the World Energy Council, welcomed Australia’s participation. She highlighted the importance of integrating Australian experiences in the global energy community.
Dr. Wilkinson stated, “We are delighted to welcome Australian energy leadership into the World Energy Council’s diverse community. Australia’s role will be key in addressing today’s and tomorrow’s energy challenges.”
The AIE will lead Australia’s efforts within the World Energy Council. They will collaborate with global energy leaders to tackle pressing sector challenges.
