Spielberg, Austria – The start of Sunday’s Formula 1 austrian Grand Prix experienced a delay after Carlos Sainz Jr.’s Williams stalled on the starting grid. This Formula 1 event saw an unexpected turn of events.
Sainz remained immobile as the frontrunners completed the formation lap’s final corner. Despite Sainz eventually getting his car moving, officials halted the start, resulting in an approximate 15-minute delay. The Formula 1 race faced further complications.
The situation worsened for Sainz when his rear brakes ignited upon entering the pit lane.Williams mechanics and track marshals extinguished the blaze, but Sainz’s race concluded before it began. He was slated to start 19th. This Formula 1 race became a non-starter for Sainz.
Lando Norris secured pole position for McLaren. Charles Leclerc will start second for Ferrari, and oscar Piastri, the standings leader, will start third in the other McLaren. Defending champion Max Verstappen begins seventh. The McLaren team celebrated Norris’s achievement.
