Red Hen Press authors Luke Goebel, Rebecca Chace and Brendan Constantine will participate in a literary event titled Writing Fury, Fear, and Forgiveness: A Literary Conversation on April 13, 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm PDT at The Ebell of Los Angeles, located at 743 South Lucerne Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.

The conversation will be moderated by Kate Gale, the publisher of Red Hen Press. The program is designed to include a literary discussion, brief readings from the authors, a question-and-answer session with the audience, and a book signing. Attendees will have the opportunity to obtain early copies of the authors’ upcoming titles.

Featured Literary Works

The panel will focus on the latest work from the three authors, each exploring distinct themes, and genres.

Luke Goebel will discuss his novel KILL DICK, a neo-noir thriller set in Los Angeles. The narrative is situated in an environment filled with opioids and unflinchingly dissects wealth, exploitation, and the perilous line between survival and self-destruction.

Rebecca Chace will present TALKING TO THE WOLF, which is described as a lyrical exploration of reconciliations, friend breakups, and female friendship spanning several decades. The story is set in New York City during a surprise snowstorm, centering on a group of four former friends attending their 35th high school reunion dinner. The group consists of a work-obsessed misanthrope, an awarded scientist, a failed rockstar, and a ghost whose death previously fractured the quartet.

Brendan Constantine will discuss THE OPPOSITES GAME. The work utilizes a framework of classroom assignments, memoirs, lists, and odes to encourage critical thinking regarding how individuals define and understand one another. The text urges readers to engage with nuances of meaning and look beyond simplistic binaries.
