Sun Zhengda, President of Taiwan’s Leading Auto Parts Manufacturer, Passes Away at 70
Sun Zhengda, the president of Taiwan’s leading auto parts manufacturer “Zhengyang International”, has reportedly died of illness at the age of 70. In response, Kuan Chung-min, the former president of National Taiwan University, posted his condolences on Facebook on the 6th, saying, “Forever Sun Zhengda’s best friend,” indirectly confirming the news of his death.
“Zhengyang International” President Sun Zhengda was called the “Taiwan Miracle” and the “Prince of the Middle East”. He was an EMBA graduate from National Taiwan University. In 2018, when the Ministry of Education was facing criticism, he also launched the ”New May Fourth Movement” to defend university autonomy.
In response to the news, Kuan Chung-min, former president of National Taiwan University, also posted on Facebook, “My best friend forever Sun Zhengda, a strong, cheerful, chivalrous boss who can unite all his friends and bring joy to everyone. May the boss rest in peace and continue to laugh in heaven. I will always remember how my boss led everyone to support the backbone of the university.”
