Kasparov Warns Against Complacency in New Podcast Series
Garry Kasparov,the former world chess champion and democracy activist,is launching a new podcast series,”Autocracy in America,” to address society’s complacency toward liberal values. the series will explore how this carelessness has fueled a democratic retreat and emboldened dictators worldwide.
Kasparov, reflecting on his experiences traveling outside the Soviet Union as a young chess prodigy, noted the stark differences in democratic societies. He expressed initial hope after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, but now sees a concerning trend.
