The animated series Avatar: Seven Havens introduces a new Earth Avatar named Pavey who faces a world that views her as a destroyer rather than a savior, animationmagazine.net reported in November 2025. Set in a scarred and damaged era following the events of The Legend of Korra, the 26-episode series expands the beloved franchise into a serialized narrative with heavy emphasis on mystery.
A Scarred Era for a New Earth Avatar
For two decades, the Avatar franchise has rotated through cycles of reincarnated heroes following the lineage of Aang and Korra. The latest protagonist, a young Earth Kingdom girl named Pavey, inherits a world that is deeply fractured. Unlike previous Avatars who were welcomed as peacebringers, Pavey emerges in the wake of a catastrophe that turns public perception against her, casting the Avatar as a source of human destruction rather than its salvation.
Pavey shares her journey with her twin sister, Nisha, as the two live through a timeline where civilization blames the Avatar for its downfall. Co-creators and executive producers Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko developed the project to push beyond standalone adventures. The series bridges the historical gap between The Legend of Korra and the newly established setting of the Seven Havens.
Bridging the Timeline After The Legend of Korra
Production on the new project reunites the creative team behind Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and the Paramount+ animated film adaptation. DiMartino explained the narrative ambitions behind the new show during an interview covered by animationmagazine.net.
“这部剧的一大亮点就是悬念。剧中有些情节与其他系列有所关联,我们暂时不会透露具体细节,但它肯定会以《科拉传奇》为基础,讲述《科拉传奇》中的事件,以及《科拉传奇》到我们来到七海城之间发生的事情。”
Michael Dante DiMartino
That narrative design anchors the new episodes firmly in franchise continuity. Ethan Spaulding serves as executive producer alongside co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi.
Structure and Visual Style of Seven Havens
Avatar: Seven Havens consists of 26 half-hour episodes split into two distinct volumes of 13 chapters each. The production maintains the traditional two-dimensional animation style that defined past television chapters in the universe.
While preserving the classic aesthetic, the creative leads explicitly avoided creating a carbon copy of either Aang’s or Korra’s respective journeys. The inclusion of twin protagonists Pavey and Nisha provides a different dynamic for handling the burdens of the mantle across the two-volume release structure.

Premiere Timeline Set for Late 2026
Animation Magazine featured the production details in its November 2025 issue, setting the stage for the rollout of the series. The completed volumes are scheduled to arrive for audiences in October 2026.
