AviLease Orders Airbus Jets at paris Air Show, expanding Aircraft Portfolio

AviLease, the saudi Arabian aircraft lessor, has placed a critically important order with Airbus for up to 77 next-generation aircraft. The agreement, revealed at the Paris Air Show 2025, includes 55 A320neo Family jets and 22 A350F aircraft. This move aims to propel AviLease into the top 10 global aircraft lessors.
The strategic investment will enable AviLease to provide fuel-efficient fleet solutions to its global clientele in both passenger and cargo sectors. It also supports the growth of Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector. Deliveries from the aircraft portfolio order are expected to continue through 2033.
Fahad AlSaif, head of the Global Capital Finance Division at the Public Investment Fund and chairman of AviLease, noted the deal, along with a previous one, demonstrates the company’s ambition to become a leading global player in aircraft leasing. He added that these actions align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Aviation Strategy.
Edward O’Byrne,CEO of AviLease,stated the Airbus order book strengthens their position as a full-service global lessor. The addition of these modern aircraft enhances their ability to offer fuel-efficient solutions to airline partners worldwide. He also mentioned the A350F selection resulted from collaboration with Saudi aviation stakeholders, supporting air cargo traffic growth in line with vision 2030 targets.
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales, welcomed avilease as a new customer. He said the A350F will set a new standard in air cargo with reduced fuel burn and increased capacity, while the A320neo Family remains the most popular single-aisle aircraft. This order reinforces AviLease’s position as a leading lessor and demonstrates the appeal of Airbus products.
last month, AviLease announced an order for 30 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. As of March 31, 2025, the company’s portfolio included 200 aircraft leased to 48 airlines globally. This latest aircraft order further expands their reach.
