Get ready for a slice of laughter! A new Latvian comedy series, “Paradise Slice,” is set to premiere on January 30, 2025, promising a hilarious look at life in a bustling Riga pizzeria.
The series, co-produced by technology company Tet, follows the misadventures of Gvido, a student navigating his first job experience at a lively pizzeria branch. Through Gvido’s eyes, viewers will witness the chaotic world of the pizzeria’s eccentric staff and the challenges they face from demanding customers and unexpected obstacles.
“Paradise Slice,” directed by Kārlis Lēsiņš, is packed with awkward encounters, comical misunderstandings, and relatable conflicts that add spice to the everyday lives of the characters.
The trailer introduces viewers to the colorful cast of characters, including Lauris Subatnieks, Artūrs putniņš, Anastasija Džordževiča, Meinards Liepiņš, Marta Lovisa Jančevska, Mārtiņš Upenieks, and Ģetrūde Skanstiņa. Making his acting debut as Gvido is Kaspars Marhlevičs, who also penned the series’ screenplay.
The star-studded cast also boasts renowned Latvian actors such as Jānis Jarāns, Normunds Laizāns, Varis piņķis, Roberto Meloni, Māra Sleja, and Rūdolfs Kugrēns.
“Paradise Slice” is a collaborative effort between the production studios “Lokomotīve” and “Woodpecker Pictures,” in partnership with the film project ”Spektrs.” Dominiks Jarmakovičs and Sergejs Timoņins serve as producers, with Lauris Gundars and Marta Elīna Martinsone providing screenplay consultation.

It’s a true ensemble effort,with each character contributing to the zany energy and heartfelt humor of the show.
