Overview

The All India Cricket Association (AICC) has announced the India squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, a one-day international tournament. Ayush Mhatre will captain the team, with Vihaan Malhotra serving as vice-captain.The tournament is scheduled to begin on December 12th.

Recent Form of captain Ayush Mhatre

Captain Ayush Mhatre has been participating in both Youth Tests against Australia Under-19 and domestic first-class matches. His recent form shows 156 runs in four first-class matches, including a game for India A against South Africa A, averaging 26 runs per innings. He also scored 18 runs in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture against Railways.

Tournament Structure

India is placed in Group A alongside Pakistan and two teams yet to qualify. Group B consists of Bangladesh, sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and another qualifying team. India will begin their campaign on December 12th against one of the qualifying teams from Group A.
