Community Mourns Loss of 12-Year-Old to Pneumonia
The town of Sant’Angelo di Piove di Sacco, near Padua, Italy, is in mourning following the unexpected death of Azzurra Breda, age 12, on December 31, 2025. Azzurra succumbed to pneumonia after a brief illness, leaving behind her parents, Valentina and Mattia Breda, and a younger sister.
Initial Hospitalization and Relapse

Sadly, she experienced a subsequent relapse, and despite the best efforts of the pediatric medical team, she could not be saved.
