Hwasun-gun Badminton Team Wins 3rd Place in China Open Badminton Championships

Hwasun-gun announced on the 23rd that Jeong Na-eun, a member of the Hwasun-gun Office Badminton Team, won 3rd place in the women’s doubles at the ‘2024 China Open Badminton Championships’ held at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center in China from September 17th to September 22nd.

The pair of Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun County Office) and Kim Hye-jeong (Samsung Life Insurance) defeated the pair of Yang Chu-yun and Tian Chun-hsun (Taiwan) 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the women’s doubles held in Changzhou, China on the 19th to advance to the semifinals and challenge for the finals, but lost 0-2 in a close match against Li Yi-jing and Luo Shi-min (China) on the 21st and finished in third place.

Jeong Na-eun will compete in the ‘2024 Korea Open Badminton Championships’ held at Mokpo Indoor Gymnasium from August 27 to September 1 in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles. She won two medals, taking first and third place respectively, in the [Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun County Office) – Kim Hye-jeong (Samsung Life Insurance)] women’s doubles and [Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun County Office) – Kim Won-ho (Samsung Life Insurance)] mixed doubles.
