The Chinese Badminton Association recently announced that the 2024-2025 China Badminton Club Super League will start on November 28 in Changzhou, Jiangsu. A total of 8 clubs participated in the competition. Chen Yufei, the national badminton women’s singles sister, returned to the competition. She will play for Zhejiang Sports Club. Three Guangzhou athletes Liang Weikeng, Li Yijing and Luo Xumin joined Qingdao Renzhou Club in the new season.

In the new season, the regular season of the Badminton Super League begins with 14 rounds of competition. The first 4 rounds will be held in Changzhou, Jiangsu from November 28th to December 1st, and the 5th to 7th rounds will be held in Ruichang, Jiangxi from December 5th to 7th. The Badminton World Tour Finals will be held in Hangzhou from December 11th to 15th, and the Badminton Super League will be suspended for two weeks. From December 20th to 22nd, rounds 8 to 10 were held in Wuhu, Anhui. From December 26th to 29th, the final four rounds of competition were held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The Badminton Super League finals will be held on February 22 and 23, 2025. The specific city is to be determined.

A total of 8 clubs participated, including Xiamen Sports Industry Group Badminton Club, Ruichang International Badminton Academy Club, Shenzhen Yuzhong Badminton Club, Zhejiang Jingti Badminton Club, Anhui Xinghang Badminton Club, Qingdao Renzhou Badminton Club, Hunan Ideal Hualai Badminton Club, Jiangsu Tianmu Lake Badminton Club.

Among them, Zhejiang Jingti Badminton Club has Paris Olympic mixed doubles champions Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong, and men’s doubles silver medalist Wang Chang. Chen Yufei, the national badminton women’s singles sister who took a break from the competition after the Olympics, will also return. Qingdao Renzhou Club has received many doubles players to join, including Liu Yuchen, Feng Yanzhe, Guo Xinwa, etc. Three Guangzhou athletes Liang Weikeng, Li Yijing and Luo Xumin will also play for the club in the new season. Jiangsu Tianmu Lake Club has Shi Yuqi, who is ranked number one in the men’s singles world, and He Bingjiao, the women’s singles silver medalist at the Paris Olympics, joining the club. The Xiamen Sports Industry Group Club is led by Tokyo Olympics mixed doubles gold medalist Huang Dongping. The main participants include He Jiting, Jiang Zhenbang, Wei Yaxin and other national team doubles players.
